Hello.
A few years ago, I started a business with my husband (we’re Simone and Simon, by the way).
We didn’t have a blueprint, a massive trust fund, or inside connections. We could literally count on one hand the number of people we knew who had built something successful from scratch in this ‘modern’ world.
But we had a clear vision, strong instincts, and the willingness to figure things out as we went.
Years later, that business has grown into something we’re incredibly proud of.
Now, I know how exciting it is to start a business and claim agency over your future—to pour your skills, passion, and energy into something that’s yours. To wake up each day with purpose and possibility.
But I also know what it’s like to feel completely overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of your next move.
If that’s you, welcome. You’re not alone in this.
Founders in the Making wasn’t planned.
In fact, a few years ago, if you’d told me I’d be publicly publishing my thoughts and experiences, I would’ve definitely laughed. “I’m not a writer,” I’d say.
But here we are.
Since launching our company, I’ve had so many people share their ideas and ambitions with me, wanting to build something too, and asking for tips.
That’s the real spark behind this site, sharing only the most important lessons learned. What’s worked (and what hasn’t), and the insights and inspiration I’ve picked up along the way that might help new founders.
Like it says on the homepage: no fluff, just the good stuff.
“An inspired mind is a living one.”
