What’s time without energy?

Isn’t it funny how we often overextend, overcommit, and run on empty, then wonder why we feel exhausted?

We all understand the concept of energy in and energy out from a physical perspective: calories consumed, effort exerted etc.

But what if we applied that same consideration to our mental (and emotional) state?

Every conversation, every decision, every problem we solve either fuels us or depletes us.

It adds to our creativity and clarity, or it wears us down.

If you think about it, even the cells in our bodies are either breaking down or building up.

And just like that, how we spend our time (and energy) matters. Who we spend our time with matters.

I’d go as far as to say that protecting our focus, and restoring what’s depleted isn’t just important, it’s essential.

So, maybe time isn’t our most valuable resource after all. Maybe it’s energy.

Because what’s time without energy?
