Two founders. Two businesses.

I’ve spent a lot of time around founders. I’ve also spent a lot of time listening to some of the most creative, inspired entrepreneurs.

From my conversations and observations, I've noticed something about founders:

Some founders are like architects.

They sketch the vision, map out the structure and bring in a team to follow the blueprint. Every beam, every detail, executed according to plan. The business becomes an extension of their mind. Precise, controlled, built as imagined.

Then, there are founders who are more like musicians.

They gather incredible talent, set the tempo and let the team riff.

The magic isn’t in controlling every note. It’s in knowing when to step back and let genius unfold.

The business evolves, shaped by those who play alongside them.

Neither is right or wrong, but they lead to very different outcomes.

One builds a machine, efficient and predictable. The other, an ecosystem that’s alive and dynamic.

One gets you exactly what you planned. The other creates something bigger than you ever imagined.

P.S. We can thank my lovely husband for unknowingly inspiring this ‘conceptual’ piece. He’s a creative genius, and the one who taught me to express ideas in pictures.
